Hewar was founded by digital marketing and public relations practitioner, Lisa Mabe. Lisa is a recognized expert in her field and has planned and implemented numerous social media and online communications programs for many leading companies and brands. At Hewar Lisa leads her team in the areas of research, strategy, ideation, content development, account management and analysis.
As a student of Islam, Middle Eastern cultures and the Arabic language, Lisa is very active among cross-cultural and interfaith programs. Prior to founding Hewar, Lisa worked with two leading communications agencies, Mullen and Burson-Marsteller. Over the years, Lisa has worked with a host of Fortune 500 companies, non-profit-organizations, government agencies, and start-ups. Some of her clients have included: Nestle, ConAgra, American Halal Co (Saffron Road), Sodexo USA, Abbott Nutrition, Food Lion/Bloom, Artisanal Premium Cheese, Kimberly Clark, KeHE Distributors, Sara Lee, SunTrust Bank, Wachovia, Unity Productions Foundation, DISH Network and BISSELL Homecare Inc. among others.
