Lisa Mabe_Hewar Headshot 2Hewar was founded by digital marketing and public relations practitioner, Lisa Mabe, and is located in Washington, DC. Lisa is a recognized expert in the specialty food industry, and has planned and implemented numerous PR campaigns for several leading companies and brands around the world. Some of Lisa and Hewar’s clients have included: KeHE Distributors, Saffron Road, OBE Organic, Artisanal Premium Cheese, Truly Indian, Edible Arrangements, among many others.

Lisa’s work with Hewar involves consulting on PR with several leading specialty, niche and organic food brands, conducting workshops and speaking at industry events, as well as serving as a trusted commentator for trade media. Prior to founding Hewar in early 2010, Lisa worked with two leading communications agencies, Frank About Women, a leading marketing-to-women consultancy (a subsidiary of Mullen) and Proof Digital Media (a subsidiary of Burson-Marsteller).

Currently, Lisa is based in Washington, DC and spends a lot of her time in Sydney, Australia where she was previously living and servicing Hewar’s Asia-Pacific clients. When not driving client initiatives, Lisa can be found spending time with her husband and son, horseback riding, or adding stamps to her passport from places like Costa Rica, India and the United Arab Emirates.
